So how have you been? I have been pretty good actually. This week has been a lot less dramatic and stressful as the other weeks so that is good :}
What was your most amazing experience this week? I got to teach an actual Restoration lesson on post to 25 people… it was crazy fun! um about 20 investigators and 5 members in my lesson. it was really hard cuz i couldn't personalize what i was teaching to each individual need but it was still loads of fun! they had a lot of questions about Joseph smith ;} but i was able to answer their questions
Who are you currently teaching? We are teaching Alexus Ridge(17) and her mom Jessica(38), Edna Newberry(52), William Heverling(9), Dakota (23), and Tara (47)
Have you visited any other churches lately? that like to speak in tongues? Haha just that one so far :} but maybe we will get an opportunity to go another time :}
where do you do most of your shopping? wally world or a more local store? I sometimes have seen pic of you eating at Sam's, is there one in Lawton too? We do most of our shopping at Walmart cuz it is close ;} there is a sam’s club in Lawton but it is on the other side of town, so we don’t really go there ;p sad day.
We have been studying Obedience in PMG as challenged by Pres. Butler, what have you been studying? and what have you learned? I have been studying a lot about the basics in the church, to strengthen my knowledge. Then it will be easier to share and testify when I have a solid testimony of the basics… with the knowledge of the basics, everything else falls into place :}
How are you trying to be like Jesus this week? I am striving to be more charitable this week towards my comp, my leaders and the people we teach :} that is my goal hehe
What new things have you learned about yourself and your role as a missionary? I have learned that I am stronger that I thought I was. The Lord has stretched me, pushed me, and pulled me to make me a better… me :} I have learned to put my trust in the Lord because this is His work and He knows what can be done here. :}
In what way has the Lord blessed you this week or lately? He has blessed me with warm weather. It has been in the high 60’s low 70’s for the past 3 days and will be that way for a few more ;} I love how the Lords just knows how much sis Garner and I can handle. The weather will be cold for like 3 days, and then Heavenly Father sends the warm weather and it is so nice ;}
How have you noticed the light of the gospel changing someone's life? I have ;] even if it’s a little at a time ;} one example is William Heverling. His family has been less active since like 2013, but because their 9 year old and 7 year old want to get baptized, they have been coming to church and you can just see the difference in all of there lives, not just William who is being taught by us. It is so awesome!! The Gospel is so True!
love you bunches;
Me
so on Thursday, sis garner and i got home from a long day working and come into the house to find an elders shirt hanging on our fan in our living room... on it were all the attributes that would make a perfect man haha ;} the Sisters in the 1st ward snuck into our house and gave this shirt to us ;} so silly haha
then, the next day i wore it to District meeting and everyone thought it was so funny!
