December 1st, 2014

How was your Thanksgiving week?  Was it full of gratitude?  did you see miracles happen?  How was dinner at Chuck a rama?  you can still leave there super full right?  did they have foods that were more Oklahoma that you don't see much of in Utah?  My thanksgiving was really good, but it didn’t feel like thanksgiving. It just felt like another day to me. :{ kinda sad.  But we did go over to a members house, (the Hancock’s) and then Fashionette and her family showed up there, and the Hancocks took them in, fed them thanksgiving dinner and we played games. It was AWESOME!!  The thanksgiving food was the same here as it was in Utah, oh and I ate stuffing AND caramel yams :} oh ya, branching out haha. We didn’t actually end up going to Golden Coral. Instead we went to Bro Davis’s (the member feeding us) ex-wife’s house for thanksgiving dinner haha…. We were the only white people and there were about 30 people there haha.

when does the caroling begin?  will you do it in each area more than once? The caroling begins toni’ight! (like Shawn Spencer would say it haha) at least that’s the plan :} we will see if the elders are really gonna do it with us haha
when will you & Bueno do your musical # in church and what will you sing?  a hymn, a Christmas song? and in both of your wards? I hope not for both wards, but I haven’t really given it any thought hahah so I don’t really know what song.
did you tract/appointments on black Friday? We actually just went and visited more members and less-actives, then had an appointment with Kyla :}
how was church yesterday?  did Kyla, robert or fashionette & faith come?  or were they all still traveling? Non of them came to church yesterday :{ sad I know. But we visited all of them and taught Fashionette and her husband the Restoration and they both LOVED it. They want to be baptized but want to wait and pray about a date, so as of right now they don’t have baptismal dates, but they want to go to the temple!! Yippee!! Oh and Kyla and Robert didn’t come cuz Robert’s sister was in town for thanksgiving and she wasn’t watching her kids and her youngest child got a hold of a knife. Kyla went over to take the Knife away and stepped on another knife a child threw to the floor and sliced her foot open, then went to the ER and missed church…. So so sad :{
what is your favorite thing about your area? Our investigators, less-actives, and members. They are all so awesome! And most of them treat us like we are part of their family, which is good cuz we love being loved.
What do you admire most about sis Duersch?  do you know all about each other now? Yup haha even the stuff no one wants to know haha :} I love her personality. She is crazy and spastic but entertaining and fun :}
Is this the first Christmas in the mission field for both of you? Why yes, yes it is.
What did you learn about yourself this week? That I need to have more patience with the people around me, mostly those I teach haha
What did you learn about the gospel? Well I actually gave a talk in Sacrament meeting yesterday on Relying on the Holy Ghost and that was amazing to learn more about. I mean, I know about the Holy Ghost, but it was amazing all the insight I got. :}
have you guys seen the new "He is the Gift" video? if not go watch it! it is amazing!

2. Our Christmas Tree
3. Our stalkings that are hung by our sign with care

November 24th

pics: sis Duersch & moi and the crazy fog that we are having in the morning

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH that is gonna be a great play :} tell me how it goes. (the play is A Christmas Story... the one with the leg lamp)
And i will definitely do that and challenge the other missionaries hanging around me right now :}  (In my institute class we were challenged for this week for Thanksgiving, to have each of our prayers be a prayer of gratitude only, no asking.)
What was the funniest thing that happened? the throw your head back and laugh kind of thing?We took these hideous pictures the other day. They are called “face Dancing”… you turn the flash ‘on’ your camera and then you move your face back and forth really fast (letting all of the muscles in your face relax) and take a picture :} it is sooooo funny! haha
when did you feel the spirit so strong you had to stop and acknowledge it? We went to Fashionette’ss house just on a whim and she asked if we could help her clean her house, so we did. As we did she was asking us questions about our church and we answered every question she had. And every answer we gave her she said, “that totally makes sense!” it was so amazing! After we left her house and gave a prayer of thanks to Heavenly Father for working through us to help Fashionette to come closer to Him.
How are things going with Kyla and Robert?  is she still on for Dec 6th?  Is he still going to church with her? KYla and Robert are doing good but we have to drop Kyla's baptismal date cuz she didn't come to church yesterday :{ so sad. we are visiting her tonight and we will try to figure out why she won’t come to church... hope every thing goes well with that haha.
Did Fashionette (love that) go to church this week too? No she did not, and she is going out of town for thanksgiving so we won’t be able to see her this week, but we gave her the commitment to read the Book of Mormon and to come back with questions that we can answer for her :} She is awesome! She loves the Book of Mormon and when we were last over there, she had her sister (Faith) come out and read with us, and Faith loved it as well :} we just now have to get them to come to church hehe!
How do people react to snow there? They go to Wal-Mart and stalk up for the next few day’s so they won’t have to leave their house. They canceled schools and work Last Monday haha :} after I took that picture
did you get the package with the boots?  Yes, yes I did :} thank you so much!!!
What was the best part of the package? (Besides the boots)
Now you can wear the leggings too:)  I can wear leggings as long as I wear boots :} unless they have footie things like my maroon ones :} then I can wear those with flats hehe
did you get the other package too? (If not maybe today:) I did receive that package as well and I love the crayon turkey :} it is sitting on our coffee table in our front room :} hehe thank you so much!
What are your plans for Thanksgiving?   what about the rest of the day?  do you tract then?  and black Friday? We can only leave our house on Thursday only if we have set appointments with investigators, members or less-actives… otherwise we have to stay home :{ no tracting, no OYMing (open your mouth) and we can’t go to black Friday.. which is sad.
With Bueno in the area you can be rocking the piano tunes!  Have you seen him yet? He wants me to sing in sacrament meeting so he can play for me… he misses the piano and his trumpet so bad… it is sad. And yes I have seen him haha :} he hasn’t really changed since high school. We want to all go on a Blitz (where all the missionaries in a ward or District go to the same area and tract) and go caroling :} we hope it goes well haha
Dad wants to know if there are any chain restaurants in your area? We have a Braum’s, a Ted's, a McDonalds, a Wendy’s, a Subway, Arbey’s, Burger King, Taco Bell, Taco Bueno, and What-A-Burger. (the ones that are highlighted green are just OK restaurants… as far as I know:})
next package will be sent Friday... any requests?  it will have some Christmas decorations in it:)  pics of my fam ;} we have a tree that we put up and it looks awesome!!
fuzzy socks :} and send a hug for sis duersch and me :}

I love you so very much!

Love meagan

November 17th

I am staying and so is sister Duersch... but i have some crazy awesome news!! BUENO is coming to Lawton!!!!! he will be in the other ward but still!! haha district meetings are not going to be the same :}

 I sang in a RS choir in church this week and it was BAD!! so bad! our pianist didn't show up so we went a capella with a violin accompaning us!! so bad

So what happened this week that made you smile? Sister Duersch is staying! And Elder Bueno is coming to Lawton!!
what happened that made you feel loved? The malcoms :} they always make me feel at home ;} plus they know Aunt Megan and I worked with Sis Malcoms brother Matthew at ProPay… he gave me a wedding announcement haha :} small world out here
How has the spirit guided you in your choices and conversations this week? We went to a referrals house and talked to her about the Book of Mormon and taught her a little about the Restoration, but it was really cool how every question she had, sister Duersch and I were able to answer with either our knowledge or with a scripture from the Book of Mormon :} so cool! She is a new investigator now and is so excited for us to come and teach her some more. (her name is Fashionette… yep she is black haha)
Do you get to teach a class on Sundays?  Can you visit Primary and share a message there? or just the reg classes? I did not teach a class on Sunday, and I have only visited primary once…. But we usually just attend gospel essentials and RS or Priesthood haha
are you warm enough?  do you need a toque and winter gloves & scarf? I am keeping warm enough :} I have been wearing 2 layers of tights haha :} I actually just bought a toque, some gloves and I have some scarves that I brought with me :}
what do you do on your P-days in Lawton? We usually clean the house, do some kind of study… sometimes watching “The Testaments” or “Mormon messages” then we go shopping, email at11:30- 12 o’clock. Then sports at 2. get ready for the day at 4, and eat dinner at 5 or 5:30 :} it’s a pretty busy day :}
Have you been to the military base yet?  Nope I have not ;} and I won’t go on “base” until sister Duersch leaves haha :} and it is still confusing to me too.
How are things going with Kyla & Robert? They are going good :} kyla is keeping the word of wisdom and she is now drinking a lot of Lemonade :} she is so awesome!!
What are your thanksgiving plans?  do you go to a members house?  Right now we are eating dinner at Golden Coral with a member….. so that should be fun haha

I hope you all have a fabulous week :} Love you!!!!

Love Meagan

November 10th

Mama;
i am actually about to get off. we usually are on around 11:30 12... but today is a little different cuz we set up appointments throughout the day and right when we would be emailing so we came early :{ sorry mama.
to answer all your questions:
I love that you are so involved in service and your ward... what other types of service do you do? We help move people, paint, clean and fold laundry :} help cook meals for families in the ward… or dinners for the missionaries haha
Do you do projects with your district or zone as well? Apparently they used to but don’t anymore cuz every one else is so busy so sister Duersch and I are trying to find some service we can start doing every week :}
When you cook what do you make? Usually Pasta-roni white cheese noodle, chicken noodle soup, or left over dinners from previous nights.  Do you trade off cooking or each fend for yourselves? We go the “fend for yourself” approach and it seems to work haha
How is Kyla and Robert and Angela doing? Well…. They are doing pretty good. Kyla didn’t come to church yesterday so that was really sad…. But we taught her the Word of Wisdom (cuz we needed to and she is a crazy coffee person) and she agreed that the Lord does not want her to drink coffee so she said she would stop! So cool!  Do they like coming to church? When they come, they do love it… its just the getting them to church every week that is hard.  we have been getting members to come with us to our appointments with Kyla so they have some solid friends in the ward :} So far she says she hasn't had any coffee :] which is awesome!!
How has your testimony been strengthened this week? My testimony  has been strengthened by a training that our district leader did on Friday… it was all about “What is a Successful Missionary” and I learned that a successful missionary isn’t all about the numbers or how many baptisms you got, but it is about the spirit… is the spirit with you when you teach? Is the spirit teaching people through you? Also it is watching someone come closer to Jesus Christ. So AWESOME!
What new thing have you learned from your studies? How being on the Lord’s side is a must. I am in Alma chapter 55-59 and it is all about the Nephites vs the Lamanites and how the Nephites have the Lord protecting them so they win all the time… but if they were to become prideful and loose the Spirit, then they don’t win.
What is your favorite thing about Lawton? The members. They are all so awesome! And they take us in like we are their own kids. I feel so loved here. Plus Kyla is awesome!
Do you drive or does your comp? My comp drives, but she hasn’t been feeling well (flu) and can’t drive…. So I have been driving again haha
When are transfers so we know where to send Christmas stuff? Transfers are next Wednesday, the 19th of November. I don’t think I am going anywhere… but I would hold off just in case haha
What happened this week that makes you laugh?  Well yesterday, we went to a members house for dinner and they have what is called the “puffy French Toast challenge” and what it is is a piece of bread soaked in pancake batter and deep fried… and you have to eat as many as you can… Sister Duersch holds the record with 7 slices. Elder Winterton last night wanted to beat her record and tried for 7 ½ but only got to 6 before getting ready to puke it all up… it was so nasty! But we all laughed about it.
Have you met your neighbors? I have met most of them and a lot of them do not like missionaries but like us as people... really weird I know haha

Love you so much!

Love meagan

November 3rd, 2014

OH my goodness! are the Dahls doing ok? I will pray for them. hows Chandler?

here are the answers to your questions:
do you wish you would have done more yard work at home to prepare you for now? Haha a little bit, but I am learning how to do it now :} hehe
do you weed or mow or trade off? and in a skirt or change then change back?We change into grubby clothes and then back into pros (church clothes) and we usually trade off who mows and who weeds cuz we both like to mow more than we like to weed haha
What is your favorite thing about your companion? She is so energetic. She is spontaneous and fun haha
what is her favorite thing about you? She loves my spunkiness and how I make everyone feel better about themselves. (her words not mine ;})
I have had ton's of questions about you being a comp with an elder on Sundays? is it every Sunday?  Yes it is every Sunday until about 12:30 pm Is it during church or just ward council? It is during church :} and what do you do... just sit and wait or what? We go to sacrament meeting, then to gospel principles, then Elder Morris goes to Priesthood and I go to RS :} so fun! And there are only about 10 women in relief society cuz our ward is ridiculously small haha. Maybe 85-100 people show up each week.
How was halloween?  did you have trick or treaters?  do you have pics of your pumpkins? We ended up not doing pumpkins cuz they were all sold out at the wally-world here haha. But we made caramel apples instead ;} we went to the church and played “things” with a bunch of other missionaries so we don’t know if we got trick-or-treaters or not haha. But down her in Oklahoma, you can only go trick-or-treating between the hours of6-8pm. That’s it haha
did you get your Halloween package in time?  Nana said she sent you one too. I did get my package on time :} the day of Halloween :} and it was awesome! Thank you so much! I also got one from Nana and Papa, Grampa and Katie, and the Burgess’ as well :} so fun!
Do you two sing in the car?  we definitely sing in the car, in our house, walking, biking, whenever and wherever we are haha
How has your testimony grown this week?  My testimony grew in the knowledge of how much our Heavenly Father knows each and every one of us and he does answer our prayers. I was able to be an answer to 3 people’s prayers this week, and two of them were missionaries. It is just a good feeling to be able to answer someones prayer and realize that Heavenly Father does care about all of us :} did you learn anything new about yourself this week? I learned that I am the only missionary in my ward that likes Kettle Corn. So when I pop it, it is just for me :} hehe
how has the spirit guided you? The spirit guided us to a man’s door and he seemed interested and wanted us to come back. We are super excited! His name is John :}
How are things going with Kyla?  Things are going great with Kyla, I can’t remember if I told you or not but she has a new baptismal date for Dec 6th and she is super stoked. We taught her the plan of salvation this week and she just ate it up! Her friend Robert has been listening in on our discussions and came to church with Kyla yesterday ;} so we are hoping to teach him as well hehe Who else are you teaching or sharing scriptures with? We have a new investigator named Angela, and she is an OKIE talker (aka non-stop talking haha) so it is really hard to teach her cuz she doesn’t let us speak.

Anywho…. This week has been really fun and very cold. But I know that this week will be really good :}

Love you muchly!

Love Meagan Boulter

1. Caramel Apples.
2-3.Sister Duersch and I

4. Sis Duersch, me, elder morris, and elder winterton

October 27th

1-With a house to yourselves is p-day spent cleaning the house and mowing the lawn and weeding, cause you don't want to be shabby reps of the Lord?We actually will take some time during lunch to go out and weed/mow our lawn.

2-Halloween in just around the corner, will you have trick or treaters in your neighborhood?  I hope no one comes to our door cuz we are not allowed out of our apartments (or houses) after 6pm. So I am not sure if we can open the door or not haha

3-is there a mission directive for spending Halloween?  We just have to be in by 6pm… a lot of missionaries will catch up on sleep, carve pumpkins, and make caramel apples… Sister Duersch and I will be doing all of them while watching the Testaments :}

4-now I just want to understand more fully your area and your Sundays... your comp (and other missionaries?) and a member do splits on Sunday to the military branch.... and you go to your home ward...are you on a split or by yourself?  your letter said you were lonely so I wasn't sure if you just missed your actual comp or if you were by yourself.  So the Lawton 1st ward(other ward of missionaries) do it as well… what happens is on sudays, my comp and sister Hirschi go with elder Winterton and elder Holbrook to Fort Sill (or Post as we call it) then Sister Law and I are companions when we get to church and sacrament meeting and Elder Morris and elder Burnham are comps for then as well… then after sacrament meeting, elder burnham and sister Law go to their ward council together (as companions) and elder morris and I stay with our ward and we are companions until around 12:30 when our actual companions come back haha :} it is really confusing

5-have you had a chance to see more of your area?  what is it like?  Yes I have been able to see, I believe, all of my area now and it is really weird. We have the ghetto of ghetto areas and then some rich areas as well… there is one area that we are not allowed to go to after 6 pm…. Sketchy!

6-how big is your zone and do you know anyone else in it?  Our zone has about 10 companionships in it, so it is one of the smaller zones. And I recognize some of the peeps, but I am trying to get to know all of them :} hehe

7-What was the most amazing thing to happen this week?  We went tracting and walked up to this lady in her car, prayed with her, and asked if she had ever met missionaries like us before, and she said that the missionaries came over but then stopped all of a sudden, so she invited us back over!! Yahoo! Also, we set a new baptismal date with Kyla (our investigator) for Dec 6th… so if you could all pray for her that would be greatly appreciated :}

8-When did you feel the Lord guiding you?  when we went tracting and found Anya (that’s the car lady) and then we also found a Potential named Joe :} that was awesome as well

9-When did you feel the most loved? When I get emails from my fabulous family :} hehe and when I receive blessings from my Father in Heaven… which is all the time ;} hehe

I am glad everything is going well for you ;} how is work? any new peeps added to the staff? if so, are they cool? how are cass and brad doing? and colty? ;}

Oh I just love hearing about your weeks. they always make me smile and realize how much i love you all! keep up the good work and remember who you are :}

10/20/14

Fab Fam;
 wards or branches? and what is the name of it? It is a ward, and my comp actually goes onto the Fort Sill military base with one member from each companionship, and they teach there on Sundays, so I am alone on Sundays. It’s a little lonely haha
 are the people friendly?  People here are pretty friendly, but they like to talk to you about non-church stuff so it is really hard to keep the conversations on gospel topics haha
I Google mapped your address and it looked like a house... do you share with other missionaries or with a family? Nope, the house is ours :} it is a 3 bedroom, one bathroom house hehe. It is so cute
 has your companion been there long or are you both new? She has been our about 8 months now :} she is 2 transfers ahead of me
how does it differ form your last two areas?  how is it the same? The same is that we have shops here haha, and different is that it is a small town where as Quail Creek and OKC 3 were both in Oklahoma City boundaries so they were big cities!
are you feed by ward members or is cooking involved? We have to cook some days but the members are really good at feeding us. I appreciate that about members here
what is her first name and how do you pronounce her last name? Her 1st name is Madison :} Madison Duersch.
where is she from? She is from Logan Utah
how long has she been out? She has been out 8 months-ish
how are you tow getting along so far? We get along really well. I have been blessed to have really good companions :}
what is she like?  what is your favorite thing about her so far? I love her fun personality. She is always looking for the fun in everything we do. She is super crazy though haha :} you never know what she will do next.
so being further south, is it warmer?  will you even need winter clothes? in addition to what you already have?  It is a little bit warmer down here but I will probably need some clothes at some point haha. I already have my rain coat and my black coat as well as my leggings. I just need my boots, and some sweaters (like the maroon and black one from Grampa and Katie ;})
is it a biking, walking or car area? It is a car area, but if we run out of miles then it becomes a biking or walking area haha. I am hoping to do more biking while it is still nice outside :}
what is your new favorite thing about this area? How small it is ;} I am hoping it is easier to get around and actually see every part of the area. Cuz in Quail Creek and OKC3, they were both too big, so I never actually saw all of the area haha
How has your testimony been strengthened recently?  in what area? It has been strengthened in the area of my Savior. I have been studying in Matthew and now Mark, but I have been using Jesus the Christ as a guide and HOLY COW!! Christ did so much more for me than I realized! I am so much more grateful for the Atonement and Christ’s love for me.
I felt Heavenly Father guiding me when.... Sister Duersch and I went looking for a less-active and found a new less-active who has been looking for our church since she moved to Lawton! That was a cool experience
In my studies I have learned that.... Satan is a sneaky little feller (hehe feller) I was reading in Alma 47 about Amalickiah and Lehonti, and how Amalickiah persuades Lehonti to come down the mountain, just a little bit, and then kills him…. So sad. And it just made me think about situations where Satan did that to me.
the people we are teaching are.... So cool. We are teaching a single mom by the name of Kyla (she needs a lot of prayers this week) and she has a baptismal date for Nov 1st. then we just got a new investigator yesterday, who’s name is Aaron, and he is married to one of our returning Less-actives (Latoya)

10/13/14

do you sing a lot still? yes, we sing all day, everyday! haha
do you sing in the car? or while walking or biking? we do sing in the car, elders included haha, and we sing while we walk. it passes the time.
Have you sang in this ward Sac meeting yet or just with the choir? Just with the choir. the music director doesn't really like the missionaries to be the spotlights haha
DID YOU GET THE PACKAGE? I DID GET THE PACKAGE :}
if yes, were you surprised and what was your favorite? I was surprised and i loved all of it! but i think i loved the fuzzy socks!
so do you have gospel discussions with people daily? We try too :} that is one of sister moore and I's goals haha
do you knock doors or referrals more?  which do you prefer?  I prefer referrals and we do have to knock doors more :p referrals are fun cuz they are already interested enough to keep an appointment with you haha
What is your favorite thing about being a missionary? being able to meet new peeps everyday. also being able to help someone come closer to their Savior Jesus Christ. those two would have to be my top 2
What was the most fabulous thing to happen this week? we didn't have any dinner appointments on tues, wed, or thurs of this last week and as those days went on, we had people call us and  ask us to come over for dinner. it was amazing!
Have you taken up kick boxing? i haven't.... yet haha
After "you know who" apologized, has he been nice and polite? he is still a butt, but a nicer butt haha :}
When do you feel the happiest? when i am teaching a lesson, or when sister moore and i are taking pics on the elders cameras haha
Have you tried to cut your hair yet? i have not tried cuz it is getting cold and i don't want to get it too short haha. but i think i will try it soon :}
What happened this week that filled your lamp with spiritual oil? church on Sunday was amazing! Sister Moore and I bore our testimonies in sacrament meeting and it helped me to strengthen my testimony by sharing it with others.
What scriptures do you share with investigators? i love to share Luke 1:37 because it is one of my favorite power scriptures.
Have you seen the "Meet the Mormons" movie? and are you allowed to? i have seen meet the Mormons and it is awesome! i loved it! we saw it Oct 2nd as a zone ;} so fun!

So i have some very important news for y'all (haha). Sister Moore and I (last Thursday) got a call from the AP's and they told us that we are getting shotgunned out of our area and 2 elders will be taking our place instead. so i am getting transferred in 2 days... SURPRISE! I am going to Lawton 2nds  East with Sister Duersch and Sister Moore is going to Quail Creek with Sister Stewart. Elder Ross is moving up to our area with elder Hart, and Elder Runolfson is in the same area with an elder Gillis. I am gonna miss this area like crazy! (Lawton is about 2 hrs south west of Oklahoma City; the missionaries will meet at the Moore stake center and travel to their areas from there, it's a "smaller" city of about 97,000)

My new address is gonna be:

6112 nw Euclid Ave
Lawton OK, 73505

10-6-14

To answer your questions for the week;
Did you take notes or just listen?  I did take notes and lots of them. it is different being on a mission, I got all kinds of revelation for me, my comp, members, less-actives, and investigators. So cool!
Do you watch as a whole zone or mission or what? It was showing at our stake center so we went there and there were about 12 other missionaries there. it was really fun and we got to know other missionaries well. plus there is a family in the OKC 1st ward. (right between Quail Creek and OKC 3rd haha) who serve the missionaries lunch every conference. they are so awesome!
Did you have a favorite talk? I really like Elder Bednars. his was amazing! I really like President Uchtdorfs at the Womens Broadcast as well as in the General Session. I also really liked L. Tom Perrys talk. Oh they were all just sooo good haha
Were any of your less actives or investigators able to watch? We had 2 less-actives watch it, 2 investigators (chloe and tanner) and then 5 Recent converts watched it as well. so cool
how was this weeks relationship evaluation?  are things going OK now? Well, Monday was really rough. Elder Whitehead kept beating up on me so I almost swung at him... then decided to be Christ like and walked away instead. Elder Ross actually turned away cuz he thought I would really hit him haha. then that night I got a call from sis Stew saying that our less-active friend Kelly had passed away that afternoon... I was speechless... then the elders called us and wished me a happy 4 month anniversary.... worst day ever! but it slowly got better throughout the week which is good ;}
Kelli's funeral was last Friday, the... 3rd of Oct.. and it was a catholic funeral.. it was really interesting cuz as the preacher was talking, the missionaries who went (sis stew, sis gubler, sis moore and myself) could pick out the holes in what he was talking about and could fill them with the Gospel. but it was really good.
you mentioned Sis Moore can't ride a bike and health issues...can you get specific? and how are  you doing health wise? She has exercise induced asthma. so she doesn't like biking for long periods of time. but I have made her bike a little bit and go at her pace so that might help out haha
Did Elder he who shall not me named ever actually apologize?  Yes. he apologized Monday night over text and thenThursday afternoon in person in a very large comp inventory we were having with the Zone Leaders, our elders, us and the Sister Training Leaders. that was rough too. we got chastised over and over again for being friends.... one of the Sister Training Leaders (STLs for short) told us that we are not on our mission to make friends. we are all coworkers here to do the Lords work. which is true. but we are also here to make friends and work together with the missionaries and the members and you cant work together if you don't trust each other.... it was weird...
How are your studies going?  They are going pretty well. I am over half way through the book of Mormon and I am reading in Matt 27 tomorrow for studies. I think studies is what keeps me sane with all the high school drama that is going on our here haha
What did you learn this week that helped prepare you for either teaching or for conference?Sister Moore let me borrow her talks and I was reading a talk by Elder Holland called "in Times of Trouble" and it was amazing! I recommend you all read it. it is really good and very applicable to any circumstance.
when did you feel the most loved? during conference! almost every talk I would think to myself and say "man I really needed to hear that today" and it made me realize how much our Heavenly Father knows us and knows what we need in our times of trouble. I love conference!
I love you all and miss you like crazy! we had picture day today with the elders while we were waiting for our clothes to finish washing and drying. I had lots of fun learning about there families and friends and I loved bragging about you all to them as well ;}
