Hello

This week has been rough but so fun as well!
 My shoes are doing great. They are a little scuffed up but are awesome!  I think my favorite pair are the navy ones but I only have like 5 outfits I can wear them with :{ oh well haha.   The ward is awesome but really loud. Their ward is really old and really young. Their nursery has like 40+ kids in it and the building is really small. PS tell Mads that I sang in the church choir yesterday. Apparently that's what the ward looks forward to, having the missionaries sing in church haha. So on the 20 of July, the four of us (Elder Beus from Idaho, Elder Collins from Layton Utah, Sister Stewart from Roy Utah and Me) are singing in sacrament meeting :} We only are in charge of our ward so we only go to the Quail Creek ward that starts at 10 am ;} Last week was stake conference so technically I have only been in sacrament meeting once, and they haven't asked me to speak... yet haha. I did have to go to ward council and that was brutal. I didn't have a clue of what they were talking about the whole time haha.  Do you have a favorite go to outfit? My favorite "go-to" outfit is probably that light purple dress with the elastic waist :}. Everyone loves it and can’t believe that my mama made it for me hehe.  How is the backpack thingy? The backpack thingy is good but I might go and by an actual backpack from wally-world to use every day and then use the satchel on Sundays :} but we will see haha. We eat breakfast and Lunch in the apartment but we have dinner appointments with the members almost every night. They are just so awesome! So I really have only been out to eat like twice which is nice ;}

The most amazing thing that happened this week would have to be the Power Hour Sister Stewart and I did yesterday with the Murphys in our ward. We talked with a lady named Michelle who had read the Book of Mormon and loved it, and also a man by the name of Judah, and they both wanted us to come back and talk about our religion. It was awesome. Also, our district leader (Elder Tripp from West Valley Utah) and his companion came with us tracting one day. We didn't get any new investigators but we all worked hard and had soooo much fun ;}
OH and the funniest thing that happened this week hahhahahahaha........ We were out to dinner with a part member family in the ward and we went to Outback Steak House :} yum. Well Elder Beus (who knows Peggy Bangerter and has been to sister Bangerter's house before) was talking about how amazing Outback's "Thunder from Down Under Cake" was.... well sister Stewart and I asked him if he knew what "thunder from down under" was and he lifts his leg and goes "prrrrft" (with his mouth) all three of us just DIED laughing!! We were crying so hard but were trying to be polite because Elder Collins was sharing something spiritual about the Book of Mormon. Oh it was just so funny haha.  I am laughing and crying just thinking about it haha
Anyway.... Life is Going Good :} Love you TONS!!!

Love, Sister Meagan

First Emails from Oklahoma!!!!

Dear Fam!

My welcome to OK was great. The Mission Pres, sister Walkinhorst and the APs all came to welcome us off the plane. There were 7 sisters who came from the Provo MTC and 3 elders who came from the Mexico MTC. We had orientation and got to see our bikes. Then we stayed the night at the mission home. The next morning we went to the church where transfers take place and got to meet our trainers. My new companion is Sister Stewart (I promise to send pics of everything soon). She is from Roy, UT and has been out for 7 months. She reminds me a little of Mads :} hehe. Anyway, I have gotten lots of hugs from the sisters and it is awesome!! All of my luggage arrived with me so I was really happy about that :}

I have all of the necessary things to keep my teeth clean, just for you mama ;}

We are in an apartment in an area called Quail Creek. It is about 35 mins north of Oklahoma City. It is a suburb to OKC and it is pretty big. It is a one room, one bathroom, on kitchen apartment and it is home sweet home out here haha. We are in a car area unless we run out of miles... then we start biking. But we walk a lot when we go out tracting. WHICH sister Stewart made me do on my 1st day out haha. She is so awesome though. We get along really well.

I am near OSU I believe.... but all the houses are split, meaning they cheer one both teams haha. We shop at Wal-Mart.  I have eaten out at a place called Broms and it is really good. It's a fast food restaurant and it kinda reminds me of In-'n-out but much better and less greasy.  On P-day we study, clean our apartment, do our laundry in the apartment (cuz we have a washer and dryer in the apartment), go to the library and write emails, go shopping for food and necessities, then to the church where we play sports of all kinds, then shower and get ready at the apartment, go eat food at a members house and then tract for the rest of the night :} it is a busy day haha.

I am glad that you guys are doing well. I can Definitely feel your prayer for me.

Which reminds me. Yesterday we were at a members house (the Olsens) eating Father's Day dinner (HAPPY FATHER'S DAY DADDY!) and before we left we left them with a message. But this was no ordinary message. We asked them to do a short but sweet prayer for me and Sister Stewart to go out and see miracles. So they prayed and with their faith combined with ours, Sister Stewart and I went tracting for an Hour of Power. It was amazing!!! We prayed with 6 people, gave pass-a-long cards to 13 people and got a return appointment from a man named Jay! Sister Stewart and I decided that we would do Hour of Power every week now haha.

This mission is hard but so fun at the same time. I hope everything is going well for you in alpine :}

We may or may not have had an earthquake last night haha. Just so you know :}

Love you guys TONS!

Love sister Meagan

Here is my address :}
OH I forgot to tell you about what happened on Tuesday of last week when I was at the Presidents house..... BUENO CALLED!! He wasn't going to be able to go to transfers because he wasn't being transferred but he called the President's house to talk to me and tell me how excited he was that I was here! Is that not the craziest thing in the world! President was joking about it all night and into the morning as well.... so weird. He is like dad. But, most of his jokes are not funny haha. He is super nice and always puts the need of others before his own. He is so awesome!!
Anyway... Love you soooooo much!!

Love Sister Meagan :}

HERE and ALIVE

Hey everyone! I made it and didn't puke once. Love ya tons!!
PS- here is a pic of me, my Mission Pres and his wife :}

Alive and Well

UPDATE:
Meagan left Tuesday morning at 9:45 on a plane to Oklahoma.
We were able to talk to Meagan on the phone before she boarded her plane! She sounds great! Thanks for all your prayers!!

This is her last email from the MTC:
I leave the MTC at 4:35 am... so that should be fun. I am planning on calling around 6:} so answer if it a random # hehe

So you will be getting a letter from me that has the charger back inside.... on Friday when I received that package I had gotten a cold and I was so out of it I thought it was my phone charger.... so I may need you to send that back to me :} hehe

Anyway.... you can tell me about LP but because it is summer I don't expect a lot of that haha. I hope everything is going well for you guys:} Good Luck this week (and Mama, don't forget that you are a loved Daughter of God)!  Inspirational quotes and scriptures would be nice. (I asked what she would like in her letters)

In the MTC you actually sing before you start any class or things like that so I sing with 6 other people about 7 times a day :} plus yesterday (Sunday) the leaving district (that would be us) got a chance to sing a musical number haha. so tell mads that I am still singing no matter what ;}

I think you guys could sing Nearer My God To Thee. That is just an amazing song!

I can totally feel Jacob watching over me, helping me get through the hard times. I am glad he is my little bro and loves me enough to look after me :}

Cool Experience: My companion and I (this week) taught a real live investigator named Dominic. He reminded me of my grandpa Boulter in some ways. Anywho..... we had been trying and trying to teach him the restoration and the Book of Mormon but every time we would asking how reading the Book of Mormon went, he would say "good" and then show us all the analyzing he did in the book. Sister Smallcanyon and I just looked at each other and new we were in for a rough time. So we taught him everyday more and more about the gospel and prayer and things like that. On our last day teaching him, Sister Smallcanyon and I were talking to some other sisters in our  zone about Dominic and how we wished he would just read the Book of Mormon instead of trying to analyze everything in the book. So we go to teach him and he says the opening prayer to start the meeting. It was a wonderful prayer and we thanked him for it, but sister Smallcanyon and I were saying our own little prayers hoping the Spirit would teach him something. Sure enough, we started talking about the Book of Mormon and how he liked it, and he looked at us and said, "It will take me a life-time and a half to be able to read this book the way I am right now, analyzing and things like that. So I have decided to just read the book and then go from there." Sister Smallcanyon and I just looked at each other with these grins on our faces!! it was amazing. I know that Heavenly Father does answer prayer!!

Anyway... I am gonna miss this place but I know I am gonna LOVE Oklahoma:}

thank you for everything and all the random yet amazing gifts!

Love you TONS!!!!

Love,
Sister Meagan JoAnne Boulter

Letter #2

Thank you for that package. I really appreciate it. Today we started teaching people. Jordan who is 23 & Kyle who is 18. It is so hard to make sure you are planning the right things to give the spirit something to work with. It is very hard yet fun at the same time.

Anyway...Our district is starting to unify & it is awesome. Yesterday (5/29/14) was Jacobs Birthday & I can totally feel him helping me every step of the way.

I was also assigned to be the Sister Training Leader. That just means that I take care of the sisters who are coming next week & make sure they feel welcomed. I also have to go to meetings with the branch presidency so that should be fun.

Saw Lauren Baxter Again & her papers are in! AHH! She seems super excited!

Saw Eric Mika (can't remember if I told you or not.) He is still Ginormous! He stands taller, at least a foot taller than his companion. It’s funny to watch them walk together.

Tell Grama that the food is FANTASTIC! So good!

OH! And My P-days are Mondays. Just so you know. And that might just be for the MTC I am not quite sure though. And we already hot our travel info & I am Head Travel Person. I have to make sure everyone gets on & off the plane together. That should be fun.

Well love you all. Love this work & am excited to learn more.

Love, Sister Meagan Boulter!

Very First P-day

Family;
The first day was awesome. But like hunter said, we go straight into teaching about 2 hrs after we get there. My companion's name is Sister Smallcanyon. She is from St George and is also going to OK with me, she is awesome. She is just so awesome. She was here last year for a little but but felt this strong impression to go home, but she is back and ready to work and that is exactly what is going on :}. There are 6 beds in the room but there is just me and sis Smallcanyon. So it is very roomy. I didn't sleep very well the first two nights but it is slowly getting better. After a long day of hard work it does feel nice to go to bed haha. Anyway.... saw Hunter again yesterday at the Sunday devotional and he looks tired but excited all at the same time. He leaves tomorrow morning at 10:30 am for the airport. I leave next Tuesday at 4:30 am!!!! AAAHHH!

Anyway... my district is awesome and are hard workers. We all learn from each other and grow with each other. I just wish we were all going to the same place so we could see them again on our missions but oh well.

The MTC is like efy in the fact that it is go go go all the time but different because you actually have to remember and TEACH actual investigators (or teachers haha) what you are learning. So I think it is a little more stressful but oh well haha.

i love the gifts you sent me and my companion and i have been pigging out on the candy :)

Love you and miss you guys!

Love, Sister Meagan Boulter
