so yesterday at church, during an older lady's talk, someones iPad went off singing "popcorn popping" and it was funny. then i look up at the front, and the 2nd councilor in the bishopric got the giggles and went red in the face like you do ;} it was so epic and reminded me of you (Dad) haha
what have you learned the most while serving as a STL (sister training leader)? I have learned how important it is to communicate with your companion, as well as with others. There are so many situations and problems that can be avoided if people would just talk to each other ;}
What part is the hardest? what is the most fun? The hardest is not knowing what is going on in your area because you are gone on exchanges so much. I have spent about a week out of my area in spurts so sometimes I get back and there are new people we are teaching. It’s fun though cuz you get to hang around new sisters and talk with them and get some new ideas on teaching.
How often do you do exchanges? weekly, bi-weekly, monthly? We have to go on 6 exchanges in 6 weeks so we usually try to do them all in the 1st 3 weeks just so we have some wiggle room so if something comes up, we can go on an extra exchange with someone, if needed.
What experience happen this week where the spirit was so strong? We had this amazing experience yesterday where we were walking around a trailer park looking for peeps to talk to, when we see these two guys outside cooking something on the grill. So we walk over and start talking to them and come to realize that one of them (Kevin) had already come to church before with a family he knew in California and he had taken some of the lessons already :} then we found out that the family he had met in Cali that introduced him to the church was a less-active family that lived about 8 trailers down! Then as we kept talking with them, the other guy (Ed) lives right next to the DeHavens ( the less-active fam from California)!! Miracles all around! Then what is even more cool, the Elders had given us a Book of Mormon with their testimonies inside and said that if we would give out this Book of Moromon, we would find someone who would want us to teach them and eventually get Baptized!! Oh man it was awesome!!
Have you had to teach at any zone meetings? We are actually teaching at one on Wednesday :} and we taught at one on the 9th of March :} it is usually just a 15 min training on how to be a missionary.. its kinda lame but fun all at the same time :}
How are things progressing with your current investigators? Joseph, Hayden, Paula, Crystal, and Stephanie? They are all progressing as of right now :} and Joseph has a baptismal date for March 28th :} so we have to teach him a lot :}
Tell us some things about Noble, what the city is like, the people too.... I hope all of OK is a friendly place. The people here are more cowboy-ish than any other area I have served in :} they are all super nice though and they love Jesus so that is good :} haha
What is "spring" like in OK? Rain, sunny, hot, cool, etc: you got it :} that is what it is like all the time in OK :] it never changes haha
Ps. you look gorgeous in the popcorn pics ;} just sayin'
