So how has your week been? Its been a little on the rough side but we are still pushing forward. So this week we found out about Transfers and ‘who will stay and who will go’ :} so then all Monday and Tuesday we were visiting people and still trying to teach as well. Then on Tuesday, our phone, out of the blue, broke and we couldn’t see anything on the screen except for a tiny little section on the Left bottom side. It was chaotic! Then at lunch the Zone Leaders informed me that we would be a bike area starting Jan 7th… so we are a bike area now. Same area, just on bikes now. our car was taken and given to our District leader and his companion. We can drive with the elders when ever, no rules against that. but they usually only drive us to dinner, back home, and then to church and back. but on p-days, they are driving us everywhere!!! it will be an adjustment to make but i think it will be fun;]
My week has slowly gotten better and I am so grateful for the enabling Power of the Atonement.
what are the roads like? is it safe for biking... I know nerdy mom questions haha bear with me please. I just want to know that you are safe and alright. the roads are pretty clear, there are a few spots where there is ice, but we just avoid those haha :}
Did you drive into OKC to take Sis D there and pick up your new companion? We rode up with the Zone Leaders and dropped her off. I saw sister Stewart who chopped her hair so it is a really cute bob, and Sister Moore as well :}
Are you OK? I am doing a lot better now, it was just the initial 50 changes all happening at once that just stressed me out and overwhelmed.
What is you new comp like or is it too soon to tell? My new comp, Sister Kaitland Garner, is awesome!!! She has such a positive attitude and has been helping me through all of the changes that have been happening this last week. She is from Bountiful Utah and whet to BYU for a year. She has been out for 6 months. So I am senior companion, which really doesn't mean anything other than I can drive our car… if we had one haha
Doc wanted to know if Bueno is still in your area? He is indeed, I am actually gonna see him today at pday :}
Are you warm enough? I am trying to stay as warm as possible. We wear like 7 layers of clothes when we head outside haha :}
How was this Sunday? it was the on base experience right? I want a few details on how it is different and how it is the same and are you just attending the branch there or are there investigators too? So the 4 missionaries that go on base teach the missionary discussions, so there are only 3 lessons though. So yesterday, sister Law taught the 1st lesson (the restoration), elder Morris taught the 2nd Lesson (Plan of Salvation and Doctrine of Christ) and Elder Burnham taught the 3rd Lesson (Commandments, and laws and ordinances). I was what we call a Floater, so I move around to whatever lesson might need me :} so I was with sister Law yesterday. It was a totally different experience. There is a different spirit on Post that can't really be explained. The members of the church who are in basic training or in AIT (not sure what it stands for) come to our branch and bring their friends with them, so we constantly have new investigators at church. It is just so cool!!
What is your favorite food that members feed you? Café Rio burritos ;}
Did you feel the Lord watching over you this week? Absolutely. We have had some crazy experiences on our bikes (not too dangerous :}) but I know the Lord was watching over us.
Love you so much!!!
